Bangladesh Krishi Bank – A Brief History

Bangladesh Krishi Bank (BKB), the largest specialized bank in the country, was established under Presidential Order No. 27 in 1973, with the objective to finance the uncertain and risky climate-dependent agriculture sector. BKB performs a wide range of banking activities including deposits, loans, foreign exchange business, and has already introduced Online Banking, Computerized Banking, and an automated foreign remittance system.

The BKB Savings Account offers you the freedom to carry out your banking transactions with remarkable simplicity. Any Bangladeshi citizen aged at least 18 years or a group of individuals can open a Savings Account at any BKB branch, which may be operated singly or jointly. We also give a competitive rate of interest on the outstanding balance.
