Islami Bank Bangladesh PLC is the biggest commercial bank in Bangladesh. It is the first Islamic bank, based on Shariah rules, in South-East Asia and established in March 1983. It is a public company having its shares owned by foreign investors, represented in the Dhaka Stock Exchange and Chattogram Stock Exchange. It has the largest branch network among all private banks in Bangladesh with 395 branches, 251 sub-branches, and 2,783 Agent Banking Outlets.
