Midland Bank Limited – A Brief History

Midland bank was incorporated on March 20, 2013, under the Companies Act, 1994, as a public company limited with Paid-up Capital of Tk. 400 Crore.

The Bank was also granted a Certificate for Commencement of Business with the same date and received its license on April 9th, 2013, from Bangladesh Bank under the Banking Companies Act of 1991. It commenced its banking operations on June 20, 2013, at the Dilkusha Corporate Branch. Later on, the Principal Branch located in Banani started its operations on July 5th, 2013. Operations for BACH, BEFTN and SWIFT started as per original plans.
